You may not think of traditional Victorian cameo brooches as being the perfect complement for wild tropical print dresses, but here's proof that it works! When dressing for her formal portrait during the late 1940s, this gray-haired matron chose a brooch which was probably inherited from her mother and paired it with a short sleeve floral print dress. The end result is wild, whimsical, and somehow classic.
