Heart Locket Choker
It's difficult to ascribe an exact date to this photograph, as there are no identifiers on the picture or the folder which holds it, but it appears to date to around 1915. At her throat this lovely young woman is wearing an interesting beaded choker necklace which may have been homemade and suspended from it is a heart-shaped locket set with a seed pearl. Her clothing is simple, possibly also homemade, and she is heartstoppingly beautiful with her clear, direct, rather wistful gaze.
