Elephant Necklace
This middle-aged woman may have worn a simple dress, but there was nothing simple about her jewelry. The large elephant pendant necklace has a heavy, ornate chain. Her bracelet appears to have the same chain, so is probably a set. Her golden earrings are Retro style floral spirals. Two rings on her left hand, one on her right, and a substantial 1940s style gold watch complete her jewelry ensemble. Apparently her fondness for elephants extended into other areas of her life, as well, as evidenced by the carved elephant on the piano in front of her. Judging by the furnishings, her dress, and her hairstyle, this picture was taken in the early 1950s.
