Edwardian Sisters - circa 1915
This appears to be a group of 4 sisters, all dressed in the white wide-collared layered outfits of the World War I era. The two on the right are both wearing delicate lavalier necklaces. The sister sitting on the right has carefully pulled back her sleeve so her octagonal wrist watch can be seen. The wrist watch was very recent innovation at this time, so she must have been very proud of this possession. The close-up shows the beautiful white-on white embroidery of her tunic.
