The large, bold brooch worn on the lace jabot of Martha Whittlesey's cress is in the Victorian Revival style and appears to be by Joseff of Hollywood. Martha was the 1939 Chapultepec Golf Club princess competing in the Mexico City Country Club beauty contest.
