Delia Cubillas, "Queen Churubusco VI"
Delia Cubillas was 18 years old when she reigned as queen of the neighborhood of Churubusco in 1933 at the annual Mexico City Country Club beauty pageant. Born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, Delia married a man whose last name was Fernandez and died in San Diego in 1987. Her wonderful Art Deco triangular onyx drop earrings were the perfect dramatic complement for her magnificent eyes and brunette bobbed hair.
