1930s Exquisite Guilloche Enamel Compact by Finberg Manufacturing Company

Measures 2 x 2-1/4". This spectacularly beautiful compact is enameled on both sides. The engine-turning beneath the enamel is complex and finely worked. The delicate hand-painted roses are tiny and exquisite. The color is a soft lemony yellow. The inside has a shell-shaped loose powder container on one side and a polished metal mirror on the other which lifts to reveal the intact block of rouge. Marked FMCO, which identifies this as the work of the Finberg Manufacturing Company. No damage of any kind to enamel or inside.
