TORTOLANI
Francisco Tortolani first established his business as Mastercraft Jewelry Co. in Providence, Rhode Island. After World War II he moved to Los Angeles, and in 1950 founded Tortolani Jewelry. Tortolani was known for antiqued silvertone and goldtone jewelry which rarely used stones but was sometimes enameled. These pieces are usually strongly 3 dimensional. The company ceased production in 1976, but is now back in business, reissuing some of their original pieces.
