First used in 1936, Symmetalic is the registered trademark of W.E.
Richards Company of North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Symmetalic pieces
were typically made of sterling silver, sometimes with gold vermeil,
cultured pearls, and/or top quality rhinestones. Edwardian and Art Deco
design influences are often seen. The quality of this jewelry is
extremely high and it is not commonly seen. These factors are
responsible for the extreme desirability of these pieces among
collectors.
