Older Mexican Silver Amethyst Poison Ring

Front measures 3/4 x 1" and rises 1/2" proud. This wonderfully elaborate sterling ring is set with a beautiful amethyst cabochon. The top swings open to reveal the secret "poison" chamber beneath the stone. Fully adjustable, the ring is currently sized to 7-1/4, but could be made larger or smaller as desired. It could also be converted by a jeweler to a permanent size, rather than adjustable. Marked TAXCO MEXICO 925 JRC and with the eagle mark 3. This ring dates to the 1960s. Rich patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed. (SOLD)
