Walter Lampl Sterling Army Ring

Measures 3/8" wide and is a ring size 6-1/4. American eagles with spread wings are divided by bands of stars. This wonderful ring is marked STERLING PAT. D136039 TIMELY PRODUCTS. The number identifies this as the Army version of the ring patented by Walter Lampl in July, 1943. Lampl marketed these rings during the war in silver as a sweetheart piece, and also in gold to be used as a wedding ring. Timely Products was previously unknown as a Lampl trademark. This ring is from the unused old stock of a small town jewelry store on the West Coast.
