Measures 2-5/8" long. The richly iridescent blue-green carapace of this genuine Brazilian beetle measures 1/2 x 5/8" and is set in rose gold plating. Jewelry featuring real beetles was very popular during the Victorian era. Due to the fragility of these creatures, it is unusual to find surviving examples in such fine condition.
