Measures 5" long. Each of the ornamented beads measures 3/4 x 1-1/2". The extraordinarily fine flattened oval pieces of Venetian millefiori glass are ornamented with Egyptian Revival scarab claws set with tiny lapis blue glass beads and green peaked cabochons at the opposite ends. The millefiori work is particularly bold, colorful, and fine, in shades of blue, green, yellow, red, and white. One of these beautifully decorated ends unscrews from the silver-tone pin to allow it to be thrust through a hat or lapel. No damage to glass or metal parts.
