Coro Retro Style Rhinestone Choker Necklace

Measures 16" long and 3/4" wide. This lovely necklace is from a collection of jewelry acquired from an old neighborhood jewelry store in San Francisco. The current owner of this business found this piece in a box in the back room, never worn and in its original box. This is true "new old stock," perfectly preserved for 40 to 50 years. More delicate than much Retro era jewelry, this necklace still has the characteristic strong looping design and sculptural presence of this style. Trios of small brilliant white rhinestones are grouped along the bottom of each link. The necklace is plated in rich gold-tone. Marked Coro in script on the fold-over clasp, which holds well. This necklace dates to circa 1948. No missing or dead stones, no wear to plating. The original box with satin lining is in good condition, though the clear plastic lid is becoming brittle and is slightly stained. No earrings are present with this necklace, though the box has a place where they would belong. $80.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
