Shorter strand of necklace measures 20" long. Earrings measure 7/8" diameter. The two strand necklace consists of graduated Venetian sommerso beads ranging from 8 to 13 mm. in diameter. The white opaque glass core is flecked with coppery foil, then covered with clear glass. The beads are perfectly spherical, yet give the impression of being irregularly shaped because of their handmade nature. Small translucent tubular topaz-colored glass beads and gold-tone filigree metal caps act as spacers between the sommerso beads. The slide clasp is decorated with 8 mm. matching beads and holds well.
