Miriam Haskell Unsigned Red Wood Necklace
Item #CM111175
Measures 15-3/4” long and 1” wide, with beads dropping additional 1”. This remarkable necklace dates to the World War II era. It can be identified as early Haskell based upon the materials and findings used and the overall design. Red wood beads and brass balls are wired to a wide mesh chain consisting of red enamel and plain brass links. These same enameled links, in green, can be seen on page 115 of the book "Miriam Haskell Jewelry" by Gordon and Pamfiloff. The simple spring ring clasp holds well and is consistent with Haskell jewelry of that era. The large red wood beads measure 18 mm. in diameter. This charming necklace is whimsical, sturdy, and simply wonderful. No damage to beads or enamel. No verdigris or other damage to chain or beads. $850.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
