1953 Renoir Etruscan Revival Copper Necklace & Earrings Set
Item #CL114201
Necklace measures 17-7/8" long and 3/4" wide. Earrings measure 1-1/8" in diameter. This very early set of Renoir jewelry has the original tags and receipts from The Emporium in San Francisco. It is marked Renoir in script, with no copyright, so can be dated to 1952-1954. Although the original receipts have the day and month (March 23), there is no year. The necklace design features crescent shapes, graduated in size, with fanciful loops of copper wire and beading in the Etruscan Revival style. The earrings extend these crescents into a full circle, with the wire contrasted against a patinated bar of darker copper. Clip backs hold well. No signs of wear or use. $160.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
