Walter Lampl 1930 Carved Blue Chalcedony 14K Necklace
Item #CE112216
Measures 16" total length, with a central element measuring 3/4 x 1-1/4". The carved central element and the 8 mm. periwinkle-blue beads are carved from a semi-precious stone which appears to be a form of chalcedony. Faceted flat disk white glass spacers are between the chalcedony beads. The clasp/central element is marked WL 14K. This necklace can be dated to about 1930 by the U.S. Patent granted to Walter Lampl in that year showing this exact design, but with an additional feature which allowed the central element/clasp to be removed from the string of beads and used as a brooch. This patent can be viewed here. No chips or other damage to stones. Slide clasp holds well. This is an exquisite early example of Walter Lampl's Asian influences. $380.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
