Miriam Haskell White Bead Necklace
Item #BX118235
Measures 29-1/2" long. This extremely versatile necklace was created between 1975 and 1979. It is a Larry Vrba design. The necklace is in two sections, connected by antique gold-tone end caps on each side. The lower portion of the necklace is composed of thickly twisted ropes of white glass seed pearls. Above the gold-tone caps are 8 mm. white glass beads with white seed bead spacers. The clasp is marked MIRIAM HASKELL and PATENT 3,427,691. This patent was awarded to James R. Johnston in 1969, but was first used by Haskell in 1975. There is also a hang tag marked MIRIAM HASKELL. The style of this hang tag dates it to before 1979. The special style clasp functions perfectly, holds well, and is easy to use. No damage or wear to glass beads. Light patina of the plating on the antiqued gold-tone end caps adds to the vintage beauty of this piece. (SOLD)
