Hattie Carnegie Luminous Cabochons Necklace

Measures 16-1/2" long. The amber-colored glass cabochons measure 13 x 18 mm. They seem lit from within by a mirrored backing of some sort behind the stones. Between these are peridot rhinetones and below each of the big cabs is a set of 3 smaller cabochons all glowing from within with an aurora borealis shine. The center of these smaller cabs is peridot green and the 2 on each side of it are a pale opalescent yellow. All stones are prong-set in a pale gold-tone. Marked Hattie Carnegie in script. Dates to before 1955. Hook clasp. No missing or dead stones. When examined very closely 3 of the small pale yellow cabochons show very minor changes to the foiling on their backs. These stones are not significantly changed in appearance because of the opalescent quality of their shine. (SOLD)
