Red Murano Sommerso Bead Necklace

The beaded portion of this necklace measures 15-1/4" long. A 16-1/2" silver-tone chain has been added, for a total length of 31-3/4". Each of the 13 major beads measures 20mm. in diameter and 7 mm. thick. There are 14 round spacer beads, each measuring 7.5 mm. in diameter. The flat art glass beads have filigree brass caps. The beads are all of opaque scarlet red glass suffused with coppery foil. This type of art glass bead is known as sommerso and is Italian in origin. The necklace is completely wearable as is, or could be restrung to a shorter length with an added clasp. No damage to any of the beads. $75.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
