Mikimoto Pearl Necklace

Measures 34" long. The 5.5 to 6.0 cultured pearls have exceptionally thick nacre and show the quality long associated with the Mikimoto name. These pearls have been evaluated by a gemologist who graded them as 6.25 to 6.5 (the lower end of Fine). The ornate sterling clasp is marked SIL and with the Mikimoto hallmark. It is topped with a smaller pearl and holds securely. The strand is individually knotted between each pearl. This necklace is typical of the beautiful Mikimoto pearls purchased in Japan by American servicemen in the decade following World War II. No damage to pearls. String is intact, but buyer may choose to have them restrung for optimal security. (SOLD)
