1960s Green Vegetable Ivory Bead Necklace & Earrings Set

Necklace measures 29" long. Earrings 2-1/4" long. The beads in this very unusual set are thin slices of "vegetable ivory", a palm nut product, dyed a rich dark green. These alternate with beads made from seed pods, also dyed green, and tiny orange plastic beads. Spring ring clasp of necklace holds well. The earring clip backs hold well and have a thin wire front to simulate pierced earrings. This was a style seen in the mid-1960s.
