White & Red Plastic Necklace

Measures 16-1/4' long. Central red and white element measures 1-3/4 x 2-1/2". White and clear plastic beads measure 11 mm. The clasp of this plastic necklace can be dated to 1969 by its patent number - 3427691 .. Clasp is marked DAUPLAISE. Carol Dauplaise worked for the Miriam Haskell design house from 1959 until 1978, when she left to establish her own company. It is interesting to note that she continued to use findings on her own jewelry which she had previously seen used by Miriam Haskell. Slight soiling. Very good condition overall (SOLD)
