David-Andersen "Midnight Sun" Enameled Sterling Cufflinks

Link fronts measure 1/2 x 1". These double-sided cufflinks feature a Viking ship under full sail on one side and a running caribou on the other, both silhouetted against the traditional "Midnight Sun" colors. The guilloche enameling is of the highest quality, with fine engine-turning beneath the enamel which adds to the radiance of the colors. The gently curved bar and cufflink backs have gold gilt over the sterling. Marked D-A STERLING and NORWAY 925S. No damage or wear to enameling. Normal patina of vintage silver.
These beautiful cufflinks have been authenticated by Derek Anastasia,AOA, Enamel Advisor, National Cuff Link Society and the American Society of Jewelry Historians, who states, "Your cuff links were made by the David-Andersen Co. based in Oslo, Norway. A stunning design of the early 1960s by one of Norway's most prominent manufacturers of silver and enamel work. These cuff links are rich in detail and yet strict in form and expression."
