Japanese Engraved Niello Sterling Cufflinks

Measure 1-1/16" in diameter. These beautiful cufflinks have charcoal gray niello faces which have been skillfully carved through in an elaborate floral pattern. The engraved areas are bright silver, in contrast to the deliberately darkened, reflective gray surface. Marked STERLING. Toggle backs hold well. The normal patina of vintage silver on the backs and toggles of these cufflinks has been left undisturbed.
