1945 Walter Lampl Walburt "Tuckette" Sterling Comb
Item #BK196162
Measures 1-3/4 x 2-1/8". This handcrafted sterling comb is shown in a March, 1945 advertisement in the Jewelers' Circular-Keystone trade magazine. Made in Mexico, these "Tuckettes" wholesaled to jewelers for $4.50, which was the equivalent purchasing power of more than $50.00 today. This explains their scarcity in today's market. The comb is cleverly designed to grip the hair well, insuring that it will stay comfortably in place. Marked WALBURT STERLING. Moderate patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed. $110.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
