Margot de Taxco Turquoise Enamel Earrings
Item #DP1511611
Each measures 3/4 x 1". These beautiful earrings were created by Margot van Voorhies Carr. The linked comma shapes of each earring combine elements of both Mesoamerican and Japanese design aesthetics. Marked on one earring MARGOT DE TAXCO 5642 and on the other earring with the eagle 16 mark inside a circle reading MADE IN MEXICO STERLING. Clip backs hold well. The enamel of one earring is intact. The other has cracks and an area of enamel loss in the spiral of one "comma". Normal patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed. Despite the imperfections of the enamel, this is a lovely and wearable pair of earrings. (SOLD)
