Trifari Retro "Horseshoe" Jelly Belly Earrings

Item #CR15988

Measure 3/4 x 7/8". These beautifully simple earrings have large cabochons of clear lucite, resembling "crystal balls." These jelly belly cabochons are set in a horseshoe shape of rose gold vermeil over sterling silver, accented by an edging of brilliant white rhinestones. Marked TRIFARI with a crown over the T, and STERLING. These earrings can be seen in Carla and Roberto Brunialti's classic work "American Costume Jewelry" on pages 151 & 152. An illustration from Women's Wear Daily dating from September 3, 1943 shows the design for these earrings. This illustration can be seen on page 122 of the Brunialti's "A Tribute to America." Clip backs hold well. No missing or dead stones. No wear to plating. Some patina of vintage silver beneath the gold vermeil. $120.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
