Tortolani Aquarius Zodiac Earrings

Measure 1-1/8 x 1-1/4". These charming earrings are from the extremely rare and highly desirable Tortolani Zodiac set. This jewelry was created in about 1960 and was very expensive at that time. The earrings are deeply sculpted with the symbol for Aquarius, the Water Bearer, in antiqued silver-tone. Marked Tortolani in script, with a copyright symbol. Clip backs hold well. One earring has the original plastic comfort pad. No wear to plating. This set can be seen in a number of costume jewelry reference books including "Signed Beauties of Costume Jewelry" by Marcia Sparkles Brown, "Collectible Costume Jewelry" by Cherri Simonds, and "Warman's Jewelry, 2nd Edition" by Christie Romero.
