1950s Hopi Knife Wing God Sterling Earrings

Measure 7/8" in diameter. These beautiful earrings represent the human-bird Knife Wing God emerging from a cloud. The screwbacks work well and are marked STERLING. The recessed areas are patinated black for excellent contrast and clarity of design. Light patina of vintage silver has been left intact. These classic earrings were purchased in the late 1950s by a woman who was working as a nurse on the Navajo Reservation at Fort Defiance, Arizona. (SOLD)
