Ledesma Abstract Animal Design Sterling Earrings

Measure 3/4 x 1-1/2". Beautifully made, these earrings are the work of the great Mexican master, Enrique Ledesma. Ledesma studied art at the San Carlos Academy of Art in Mexico City, as did Ricardo Salas, Diego Rivera, and Matilde Poulat. His jewelry is known for its highly sculptural quality and superior design. These earrings have an abstract animal motif applied to darkened silver plaques. Shiny silver half-balls at the earlobe provide a perfect balance for the light and dark contrast of the dangling portion of the earring. Marked 925 LEDESMA HECHO MEXICO TAXCO.
