Saft Inlaid Sterling Modern Art Earrings

Highly unusual earrings measuring 7/8 x 1-1/2 inch, and 1/8 inch thick. A slab of black wood is sandwiched between a sterling back and a sterling and brass inlay front. Screw backs. Marked SAFT 925 STERLING HECHO EN MEXICO. These earrings appear to date to the 1950s to early 1960s. Light weight for their size. Very good condition, with extensive tarnish. We have not removed this, as many prefer this old silver look, but they would polish up beautifully (SOLD)
