Rame' Silver-plated Earrings
Item #AB157123
Measure 7/8 x 1-1/4". Silver-plated cones are paired against an oval backplate. Marked Rame' in script, with a copyright symbol. Clip backs hold well. Light patina of vintage silver. This company was based in Providence, RI. It was an imitator of the much more successful Renoir company. Both were known primarily for their copper jewelry. Rame' closely copied Renoir designs and was eventually closed by Renoir's strict enforcement of copyright laws. These earrings appear to be an imitation of Renoir's Sauteur division which specialized in sterling. Sauteur was in business from the mid 1950s until 1960, which allows us to date these earrings to those years. $48.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
