DEROSA
Ralph De Rosa founded the company named for himself in 1934. Born in Naples in 1884, Mr. De Rosa came to the United States in 1905. He received his design education in Italy. De Rosa jewelry is typically in the Retro style, with large pieces carefully finished in the manner of fine jewelry. The Ralph De Rosa Company began using sterling in 1942, the year of Mr. De Rosa's death. The use of sterling continued until 1949. Mr. De Rosa's daughter, Vera, became the lead designer after his death and ran the company with her mother and sister until production stopped sometime around 1955. This jewelry is usually marked R. DE ROSA.
