"Jim" Silver Love Token Charm

Measures 3/4" in diameter. This beautiful silver love token is engraved on both sides. One side says Jim and the other side says No. 1. The jump ring is intact. No scratches or other damage. Moderate patina of vintage silver has been left undisturbed. Love tokens were made during the mid to late 1800s from coin silver dimes and worn on bangle-style charm bracelets. They were sometimes engraved by young men for their lovers. Others were commercially engraved and sold to suitors who doubted their own artistic abilities. (SOLD)
