Early Renoir Copper Belt

Measures 2" wide at center back. The copper band is 27" long. The chain used to close the belt is 7" long. The numbers 28 and 30 are stamped on the belt, indicating it was intended for a 28-30" waist, but there is additional flexibility in sizing because of the adjustable chain closure. This wonderful belt is marked Renoir in geometric script with no copyright symbol. This mark dates the belt to before 1954. This sleekly Modernist accessory shows no signs of wear or use. Renoir belts are not commonly seen and are as fresh and exciting to wear today as they were when they were originally produced. (SOLD)
