Italian Mosaic Hare & Tortoise Chain Belt

Measures 37" long, with mosaic charms dropping 3-3/4". This adorable gold-tone heavy chain belt is composed of smooth and rope-twist links. The hook clasp allows great flexibility in sizing. Each of the mosaic charms is marked ITALY. These consist of earthtone glass tesserae, one depicting a turtle and the other a rabbit. The rabbit is missing one tile in an ear. This can only be seen on close inspection. No wear to plating. This fanciful belt recalls the fable of the tortoise and the hare. The tortoise is on the longer pendant drop, so does appear to be winning the race. (SOLD)
