Huge Reinad Orchid Brooch

Measures 3 x 3-1/8”. This large, heavy brooch is beautifully cast in pot metal and constructed of 2 separate pieces that have been securely joined for added realism and durability. The original enamel paint is beautifully detailed, handpainted in shades of orchid, lavender, and maroon. The scrolling petals are accented with brilliant white rhinestones. Marked REINAD. Safety clasp holds well. Minor loss of paint to the higher surfaces and one chip to paint in the mouth of the flower. No missing or dead stones. Originally, this beautiful brooch had one or more stamens. These are missing, but this loss does not detract from the beauty of this rare and lovely piece of early Reinad jewelry, dating to the 1930s. $165.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
