Unusual Sterling & Lucite Modern Brooch
Item #DS136209
Measures 2 x 3-1/2". This very interesting brooch is from the estate of noted photographer Dorothy M. Conway, wife of the reknowned theater designer John Ashby Conway. Made of sterling, with a large clear lucite ball, it is entirely unmarked. The design is reminiscent of the work of Alexander Calder. Conway was a collector of American studio jewelry of the 1950s. This unique brooch appears to be an experimental prototype piece. Moderate patina of vintage silver. $75.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
