Measures 1-3/4 x 2-1/2" when fully assembled. Each fish measures 1-1/2 x 1-3/4". Plated in gold, these patriotic angelfish are set with red cabochons, white rhinestones, and blue navettes. The clear lucite jelly bellies are studded with white rhinestones, as well. The patent for this piece, D139,405, was assigned to Adolph Katz in 1944. The fish can be worn separately, as pin clips, or together on the frame which makes them into a brooch. Marked Coro Duette in script, STERLING, and PAT. NO. 1798867. This utility patent refers to the frame which joins the clips. Safety clasp holds well. Pin clips hold well. No wear to gold plating. No missing or dead stones. No damage to plastic.
