Brooch measures 2" in diameter. Earrings measure 1 x 1-3/8". This exuberant gold-plated brooch and earrings set represents the apex of the beautiful jewelry created by Julio Marsella. Giant clamshells spill a bounty of glass faux pearls, framed by branching coral and crowned by what looks like a capped pillar. A sinuous fantasy fish paved with brilliant white rhinestones keeps a ruby red rhinestone eye on the treasure. Marked JEWELS BY JULIO with a sunburst symbol. Safety clasp holds well. Matching earrings have clip backs which hold well. No signs of wear or use. No missing or dead stones. Marsella's company, Marsner, made an identical brooch for Christian Dior.
