Measures 3/4 x 1-7/8". This exquisite little handcarved bird is finely painted with breathtaking detail. Much of the brushwork appears to have been accomplished with a single hair brush. The twisted copper legs hold tightly to a tiny wooden perch. It was carved by Yoneguma Takahashi and painted by his wife, Kiyoka Takahashi. This pin is an outstanding example of their work. Safety clasp holds well. No chips or other damage to the paint, wood, or metal legs. (SOLD)
