Pietra Dura Brooch

Measures 1-3/4 x 2". This lovely mosaic brooch is made with inlaid stone and Italian glass tesserae in shades of green, brown, gray, taupe, orange, and cream. The mandala-like motif is eyecatching, yet simple. The inlay is framed with a silver-tone rope twist. C-clasp holds well. Extra-long pin stem extending past the edge of the brooch indicates that this lovely piece was probably made during the Victorian era. No damage to the mosaic. (SOLD)
