Measures 1-7/8 x 3". This outstanding example of the work of George Frost is acid-etched with a design of swallows in flight. The blue-green verdigris background provides a perfect foil for the gilded birds and clouds. It is marked FROST in a triangle. The c-clasp has been bent slightly, so the pin stem is trapped within. This could be easily bent to release the pin. This fabulous and rare brooch was created circa 1910.
