1930s Purple & Pink Rhinestone Wreath Brooch

Measures 2 x 3". This outstanding brooch can be seen on page 173 of Collectible Costume Jewelry by Cherri Simonds. Cast from sturdy pot metal and constructed in layers, the quality of this piece is excellent. The purple and pink rhinestones are open-backed and foiled. The large purple oval rhinestones are set at an angle, slanting inwards at their bases. This, combined with the overlaid bouquet of pink rhinestone flowers, gives the piece a great deal of dimensionality, adding visual interest. Pave' white rhinestones on the flower stems and bow add sparkle. Small white rhinestone accents help to define the purple wreath, as well. Safety clasp holds well. No missing or dead rhinestones. Very minor wear to the foiling on the backs of some of the large stones. This does not detract from the vintage beauty of the piece. $185.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
