Stunning 1930s Fenichel Rhinestone Flower Brooch

Measures 1-1/2 x 3-3/4". This is a large, sculptural, exuberant, and absolutely brilliant piece. It is a very early example of the rare figural jewelry made by this company, dating to before World War II. It is made of pot metal which has been plated in bright silver-tone rhodium, and is paved with white rhinestones. The large round prong-set rhinestones at the ends of the stamens are set at wildly eccentric angles, adding even more interest to the piece. Marked FENICHEL. Safety clasp holds well. No missing or dead stones. No wear to plating. This piece has the highest quality stones, as you would expect from Fenichel, and the magnificent styling of the best Staret or Eisenberg from the same era. (SOLD)
