Ric Chrysocolla & Sterling Modernist Brooch by Erika Hult de Corral

Item #CR139810

Measures about 1-1/2" in diameter. A large and richly colored cabochon of chrysocolla is set in a sterling Modernist brooch. Marked Ric (in script) TAM 925 49 TR-26 MEX. This piece is from the workshop of Erika Hult de Corral, an award-winning designer who studied at the Parsons School of Design in Paris. She worked with Sigfrido Pineda and Enrique Ledesma before opening her own workshop. The number 49 indicates the design or inventory number. This piece was produced after 1977, possibly by a silversmith named Helidorio Rodriguez Estrada. This piece can be worn as a brooch or as a pendant. Safety clasp holds well. No damage to spectacularly patterned stone. Normal patina of vintage silver, which has not been disturbed. $165.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
