1931 Large Art Deco Carved Cinnabar Dress Clip

Measures 1-1/2 x 2-1/4". This generously sized cinnabar clip is beautifully and deeply carved. The cinnabar was imported from China in the late 1920s to early 1930s. It is set with ornately filigreed dogtooth prongs in a gold-tone clip. Clip holds well and is marked PAT. 1801128. This patent refers to the clip mechanism and dates to 1931. No wear or damage to cinnabar or old-gold plating.
