Trifari Sterling Jellybelly "Thumbprint" Swan Brooch
Item #CQ13911
Measures 2 x 2-1/2". This is the classic design by Alfred Philippe, patented in 1944. The brooch can be seen on page 156 of "American Costume Jewelry" by Carla and Roberto Brunialti. The lucite body has a "thumbprint" impression, which adds depth and richness to the design. The sterling body is plated in gold vermeil. The head, wing edges, and tail are paved with brilliant white rhinestones. The eye is a tiny red cabochon. Marked TRIFARI with a crown over the T, PAT. PEND., and STERLING. Safety clasp holds well. No missing or dead stones. Significant patina of sterling beneath the gold vermeil. Missing one small area of gold plating at arch of neck. $575.00 (Includes insured shipping to a U.S.A. address)
